AKITA: Call of Destiny
An animated epic adventure based on real events in the life of Helen Keller.

On April 1, 1937 Helen Keller departed San Francisco on her way to Japan. It was a trip she had promised her beloved "Teacher" Anne Sullivan on her deathbed that she would make. Her mission was to help the blind people of Japan. As she passed under the Golden Gate Bridge, she wrote in her journal that she felt by making this trip, she was answering the "call of destiny." On that same day in Japan, 2 Akita brothers were born. 75 days later, one of those Akitas, Kamikaze-go (Kami) would be presented to Helen as a gift from the Japanese people. He would become the first Akita dog brought to America. Two years later, his brother Kenzan-go (Gogo) would also find his way into Helen's life. AKITA: Call of Destiny is the story of Akita brothers who shared a very special mission of loyalty with a very courageous lady.
